Coordination and Administration Department

Introduction
Coordination and Administration Department was created in the existing premises of former Governor’s Secretariat FATA after its restructuring in 2006. It is headed by a Secretary who manages two portfolios i.e. administration and coordination. The department deals with the general administration related to the affairs of the FATA, security of the headquarters, service matters including postings, transfers, promotion of staff, maintenance of office, residential colonies and rest houses, maintaining central pool of cars. Apart from this, it acts as coordinating body between agencies, departments and secretariat in common matters.

Business of the Department

Coordination

  • All matters which require coordination amongst the various Department/subordinate offices of the  FATA Secretariat .

  • Governor’s visits.

  • Follow up and implementation of the Governors Directives.

  • Correspondence with the SAFRON Division and other Federal Government offices/autonomous organizations.

  • Correspondence with the provincial Government on policy matters.

  • Liaison between the Secretariat and its attached directorates.

  •  Rules for disposal of Business in FATA  Secretariat and in its Line Departments – Creation of new Departments, Sections or Units, change in allocation of business, constitution of a Department.

  • Preparation of reports for Governor, Federal Government and Provincial Government.

  • Business relating to the Senate and National Assembly – questions of Senators/MNAs, meetings of Standing Committees on SAFRON.

  • Issuance of permits for the transportation timber from FATA to settled areas.

  • FATA Chamber of Commerce and FATA Association for Trade and Industry.

  • Recommendations for Awards to the employees.

  • Sports organizations in FATA.

  • Nomination of FATA candidates in educational institutions in the settled areas against seats reserved for them.

  • Advice on legal questions, in consultation with the Provincial Law cases other than regarding services matters.

  • Matters relating to the FATA Development Authority.

  • Matters relating to the FATA Rural Support Programme.

Administration

  •   Central Pool of Cars/vehicles, and Rules for their use.

  • Utilities and other common services

  • Matters relating to disaster relief.

  • Management/Maintenance of movable and immovable property of the headquarters of the FATA Secretariat

  • Official celebrations

  •  Stationary, printing, and other office equipment

  • Library of the  FATA secretariat

  • Insurance of government property

  • State welfare.

  •  Computerization of offices

  • Residential colony and rest house at the headquarters

  • Health facilities for the employees

  • Provision of office and residential accommodation

  • Registration of deeds and documents

  •  Newspapers and periodicals for the headquarters

  •  Security of the headquarters

  • Arrangements in connection with official meetings and visits of officers for the purpose.

  •  Purchase of durable assets for the headquarters of the  FATA Secretariat .

  •  Sale of surplus ort unserviceable durable assets of the headquarters of the  FATA Secretariat

Establishment

  • All service matters, including court cases

  • Recruitment, promotion n and transfer of employees

  •  Training to the employees – local and foreign

  • ACRs

  • Group Insurance/ GP Fund /CP Fund

  • Creation of posts.

  •  Conduct anticorruption and cases
